Office of Environmental Services
The overall objective of the Office of Environmental Services is protection of the environment and public health of the Sac and Fox Nation.
The Offices of Environmental Services was established in 1995-96 through funding from the Administration for Native Americans(ANA). Currently, the office of Environmental Services (OES) operates under the United States Environmental Protection Agency(EPA) General Assistance to Tribes Program(GAP) grant and continues to research and develop a comprehensive environmental management program and establish baseline data, technical capability, and legal regulatory infastructure for the Nation in all media; an EPA Clean Water Act, SEction 106 grant for conducting watershed monitoring and assessment; and EPA Air Quality grant to operate a PM2.5 monitor to collect fine particualte samples for analysis. Future plans for the air program include; ozone monitoring and meterorological monitoring.
