We are glad to introduce to you our new program called the Down Payment Assistance Program. This program will assist Sac and Fox Tribal Members, their descendants and other Native Americans in and outside of the area with the down payment and closing cost when purchasing the house of their choice. The Housing Authority of the Sac and Fox Nation will pay (10% of'the development cost set forth by HUD) up to a maximum of $1', 7-19.90 depending on several factors.

To qualify, an applicant must be creditworthy and approved by a bank or mortgage lender of their choice. A "Good Faith Estimate" and "Copy of the Appraisal" from the lender showing the location of the house and the number of bedrooms in the house should be submitted to the Housing Authority of the Sac and Fox Nation (HASFN)'s Housing Services Manager along with the completed Housing Authority's "Application" for the Down Payment Closing Cost Assistance Program, Birth Certificates for all household members, CDIB cards for each household member, Social Security cards for each household member and documentation as proof of handicapped/disabled and/or veteran status. HASFN also requires a copy of the Closing Statement from the closing entity, the Loan Number, and a letter from the lender or closing entity requesting the funding from HASFN.
